Everything we stand for revolves around providing the very best in care for your children. Here at Nery’s Land Learning Center, we understand just how tough the decision and transition can be to send your child to childcare.
Who is going to look after my child? Will they be safe? What will they do all day? Are they going to be challenged?
These are all questions we have struggled with as parents. We would like you to consider us as an extension of home; a caring and nurturing place where your children are intellectually and emotionally stimulated by dedicated staff that are not only early childhood educators, but amazing human beings.
Our Mission
Nery’s Land Learning Center is a childcare facility which is committed to providing a positive and stimulating environment that is warm and inviting for children to develop at their own time. We offer a care that really makes a difference. Nery’s Land Learning Center is your child’s home away from home for only a portion of their day and we’ll make it a warm, nurturing, fun and exciting place to be. We will focus on laughing learning, play and discovery. Your child will enjoy enhancing their social, emotional, intellectual, cognitive, and motor skills while building confidence and self-esteem. We have an open-door policy and welcome parents visits anytime as we find this to be very helpful in keeping communication open between staff and parents.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is that children learn through interaction, play and socializing with others. Children learn about themselves, others, and the world around them through play. Play is a child’s fundamental natural response to his or her environment. We believe that children should be children and should enjoy developing and practicing their skills while socializing and playing with others. Our program makes use of many play and learning materials and activities that help the child gain confidence in their abilities to do and take their imagination to the next level. Guided by a responsible adult who is nurturing, giving caring and a positive influence, a child will flourish in our positive, clean, and friendly environment.
Healthy Meals and Snacks
Nery’s Land Learning Center provides a nutritious breakfast for early arrivers and a morning snack and afternoon snack and a nutritious lunch each mid-day. Our menu includes fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables and high-quality protein sources. We also offer a vegetarian option on days when meat is served. We often hear, “My child won’t eat vegetables,” or “My child doesn’t like sauce on his pasta.” Parents are constantly surprised at the variety of foods that their children will eat at school that they won’t even try at home. Often this is due to “positive peer pressure.” It might not happen the first time, or even the second time, but children will eventually eat foods that they see their friends enjoying.
*Due to the extreme nature of allergic reactions to peanuts, we do not serve any peanut-containing products at Nery’s Land Learning Center. This applies to foods brought in from home as well, will not be allow outside food that contain peanuts.
